Orientation for the First Semester Examination: BA English Language and Literature

Examinations are always a matter of stress among the students and especially when it is during this treacherous pandemic period. By understanding the excessive requirement of the situation, we the Department of English has decided to conduct an orientation session for the first semester students of the Department, BA English Language and Literature. 
We have conducted the Orientation session on 31st July 2021 in the online platform Google Meet (Link for the meeting: https://meet.google.com/reh-nock-upv). The session has begun at 4 p. m. in the evening. Mrs. Sarsha T S, the tutor for the semester BA English Language and Literature has delivered the welcome address. Mrs. Soumya V S, the head, Department of English, has presided over the meeting. All the forty-six students from the class has attended the meeting. 
Tutor has led the meeting with the information regarding the forthcoming first semester degree examination conducted by University of Kerala. The meeting discussed the details concerning of the examination fees, mode of payment, question paper pattern and so on. Tips in order to make a better examination study timetable is also discussed in the meeting. Assuring the complete support of the Department and the teachers the meeting has end at 5 p. m.

Lipi_Read: Donate

National Service Scheme volunteerട of TK Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara handed over  books collected (" Lipi "- _Read: Donate" ) to the  Gandhismaraka  Grandasala, in the adopted village Pallipad. The books were collected in connection with National Reading day June 19. Library Council member Mohan Attupuram, President K Ravindranath, Ward Member Raichel Varghese, Librarian P Vijayamma, S Beena and A Anagha were present on the occasion. NSS Programme officer M.V. Preetha, Volunteer N Nihal mohammed, Haritha Harikumar and Charukesh.K.Priyesh handed over the books.
Reading Day celebrations, lasting for a month started from  June 19 under the banner " Ka cha da tha pa" with various events.  The unit organized a variety of events to promote reading and writing in children, including talk series, debates by eminent personalities,  reviews of the works done by Vaikkom Muhammad  Basheer, M.T Vasudevan Nair and ONV etc.

National Service Scheme Unit of 
T. K. Madhava Memorial College and Karthikapally Taluk Legal Services Committee jointly organized an online class against dowry under the banner "Sapthapadi".  The function was presided over by Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas and inaugurated by Harippad First Class Magistrate Shri. S Sajeev. Harippad Bar Association President Advocate Saji Thampan delivered the keynote address. Mrs. Preetha MV, National Service Scheme Program Officer of the College, addressed the gathering. Legal Services Committee Secretary Mrs. Deepti Mathew welcomed the gathering and para Legal Volunteer AP Rajeev delivered vote of thanks.

Suraksha: An interactive session

NSS Volunteers Conducted "Suraksha"

Harippad: NSS volunteers at TK Madhava Memorial College organized a panel discussion entitled "Suraksha" on International Justice day. 

Advocate T S Taha, Alappuzha district Welfare standing Committee, Chairman   and Adv. Parvathy MP, Assistant Professor, SNGCLS, Kollam, led the discussion on Pocso Act & Challenges and issues faced by women.
Volunteerട raised a lot of Questionട and  ideas regarding the subject. Program Officer Mrs. Preetha MV (History Dept Ho D) welcomed the audience. College Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas presided over the function.
NSS volunteers N. Nihal Mohammad and Charukesh. K. Priyesh, Nijith, Athira Mohan and Ayana actively particitipated in the discussion, Programme Officer Akhil B S delivered words of thanks.

Haripad: Nangyarkulangara

Mrs. R Saritha delivered the keynote address on "Information Technology and Malayalam Reading" under the banner "Ka Cha Ta Tha Pa" under the auspices of TK Madhava Memorial College NSS Unit (39 A&B). Saritha is the Principal Librarian at the Mahatma Gandhi University School of Letters, Kottayam.

The NSS unit of the college is organizing various month-long events in connection with the June 19 Reading Day. Conducted. Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas presided over the function.

Program Officer MV Preetha and volunteers Sangeetha, Aravind, Meenakshi and Nihal led the program.

Online Orientation Programme

"Department of Mathematics organised an Online Orientation program of ASAP"

Many courses are being conducted in association with the government- initiated ASAP program to enhance students creativity.
The first batch of students from the Department of Mathematics of T K Madhava Memorial College completed the courses with complete success..All courses were discontinued as a result of the ensuing epidemic.The government and ASAP officials are now trying to coordinate the courses online.
To resume ASAP,T K Madhava Memorial College ,Mathematics Department organized an onlineorientation program via G meet with the presence of Mrs Greeshma, a teacher at Harippad Girls Higher Secondary School ,who was supervising the above successful batch .

 Government has introduced ASAP as a foundation course that offers employment opportunities in any field along with graduation.

The Orientation program began at 3:45 pm with a prayer by third year BSc mathematics student , Kumari. Gopika Suresh.
Mrs. Sinumol , Assistant professor in mathematics delivered welcome speech at the meeting which was chaired by Mrs. Renjini ,Head of Mathematics department. Later madam Greesha shared informations and courses of ASAP to the students.

Now ASAP Kerala brings us the opportunity to learn GST accounts assistant course and accounts executive course from our own home which is certified by National skill development council.

The program ended at 4.20 pm with the vote of thanks released by Kumari. Vishnupriya V ,a first year BSc mathematics student.
