Visiting senior citizens and patients

NSS volunteers and programme officer MV Preetha visited senior citizens and patients and donated according to their needs.

Aadi Dev, 9 age boy was in urgent need of kidney transplantation and is going through a process of treatment. We supplied 5 injection medicines and charity. The team visited Thangamaniamma, Radhamani Amma, too badly illed ones. Provided them with groceries.

Visited kamalama, a 62 year old paralyzed lady. She was very happy to receive us. We bought tea and snacks for her. She was in an urgent need of a coat and a fan. We made arrangements for the same.

For the last few years the volunteers frequently visit Parvathy Amma of Valiyakulangara, who is disabled by her physical conditions as well as by her age. Despite these she is conducting a tea stall at her place. The unit provided her with a coat and necessary groceries and provided charity

Republic Day Celebrations

This time the NSS volunteers of our unit celebrated the Republic day in a different way by forming the crashing waves against the drunkenness and drug abuse and set breeze of relief towards the impatients of Vandanam medical College.

The volunteers campaigned the public and distributed leaflets at Valiyazheekkal beach and made anti- substance awareness. Later visited the patients of Vandanam Medical College. The volunteers have shown that the true love towards the nation and the responsible citizenship lies in our actions.

College Principal Dr. P. P. Sharmila hoisted the flag 9:30 a.m. in college campus and delivered the Republic Day message. N. S. S Programme Officer and Head of History Department MV Preetha. Lt. V Seena, Head of Zoology Department Dr. S Sheela also addressed the gathering. Volunteers conducted rally. NSS Programme officer MV Preetha, volunteers like Charukesh K Priyesh, Rijin Reji, Sibin Raj and Devi gave leadership to the programmes.
