ഹരിതം ഭരിതം (Haritham Bharitham)
NSS Unit 39 A&B of TK Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara has launched the "Haritam Bharitham" program to mark the end of the 2021 year seven days camp "December to Remember". Volunteers started Sustainable Organic farming in the Campus with the aim of producing non-toxic, farm fresh vegetables; during camp days, the volunteers prepared the land for cultivation. Volunteers also distributed vegetable and fruit saplings to the nearby houses. The unit aims to extend the program to the adopted village of Pallipad in the coming days. Program Officer Mrs. MV Preetha took the initiatives for Haritham Bharitham project. As part of this programme NSS volunteers also organized a rally The event is getting good response from the local people. The people nearby actively supported the project by donating the plants in their possession.
