Career guidance for first year BSc Mathematics

Department of Mathematics conducted a career guidance class for first year BSc Mathematics students on 25/08/2022 at 2 pm Mr.Madhusoothanan Pillai P, Mentor, b.smart Abacus, skill development programme handled the session first then continued by Mrs.Sebeela M, Abacus project manager. They have given an introduction of the new course of Abacus which can be accompanied with regular classes. They explained the benefit of the course and how students can make use of it to earn money while learning. Mr. M K Sreenivasan, Assistant Professor on contract, coordinated the programme

Webinar on Eco Cyberism

The Nature Club of TKMMC in association with IQAC organized a webinar on  Eco Cyberism  on 12th January 2021. The resource Person was Dr.Sreeja R, Asst.Prof. Department of Malayalam, M.S.M College, Kayamkulam. Dr.S. Sheela,Asst.Prof.in Zoology made the presidential address. College  Principal Dr.Vinod Haridas inaugurated the function.The resource person gave a detailed description of  ecosystems & how to develop a healthy Cyber Ecosystem . The cyber ecosystem comprises a variety of diverse participants : private firms, non-profits, governments, individuals, processes, and cyber devices (computers, software, and communications technologies) .Much  like a physical ecosystem, a cyber ecosystem is composed of those that interact with each other to form one functioning unit.She concluded with those ecosystems  that are linked to each other digitally rather than physically.Dr.Arun S Prasad, Smt. Renjini S, and Dr.Siji Narendran are felicitated in the function. Mr.Nihal Muhammed (I B.Sc. Chemistry) made the vote of thanks.

Seminar on Green energy from bio resources

Nature Club organized a seminar on Green energy from bio resources on 6th January 2020. The resource Person was Dr.Vinod Haridas, Asst.Prof & Head, Department of Botany, TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara. Prof P Sreemon made the presidential address. Dr.P.P Sharmila inaugurated the function. The resource person gave a detailed description of green energy and the bio resources for it. Bioenergy is renewable energy produced from organic matter called biomass such as plants, which contain energy from sunlight stored as chemical energy. Bioenergy producers can convert this energy into liquid transportation fuel called biofuel through a chemical conversion process at a biorefinery. Or, they convert this energy into heat and electricity called biopower through processes such as direct combustion. He concluded his talk by the fact that in the form of biofuel or biopower, bioenergy can power vehicles homes, and even airplanes. Smt.Mini R, Asso.Prof & Head, Department of Hindi, Dr.Arun S Prasad (IQAC Coordinator & H.o.D,Physics) and Sri.Abhilash Y, Asst. Prof. in Malayalam (on con.) are felicitated in the function. UNITY – SKIT PERFORMANCE

In connection with the observance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Centre for Gandhian Studies in association with the Department of English, Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat Club & Theatre Club of TKMM college Nangiarkulangara  has performed a skit ‘Unity’ to propagate the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi on 17 August 2022 at Govt. U P S Nangiarkulangara and College Portico. The students of the Department of English and Theatre Club members has scripted the skit and enacted it under the guidance of Ms. Athira M Raj, convener of Theatre Club. The skit emphasized humanity as the greatest religion, good heart as the greatest wealth and ask to adhere the Gandhian principles of Ahimsa / non-violence. Skit team comprises of Shreya Sasikumar, Anu B, Nanndana Biju, Nandana S, Aravind, Meenu M, S L Gowri and Gopikakrishnan from the S2 B A English Language and Literature.
