In connection with the observance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, pledge and speech competition held at Govt. U. P. S. Nangiarkulangara on 17 August 2022 organized by the Centre for Gandhian Studies in association with the Department of English, Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat Club of TKMM college Nangiarkulangara for LP & UP students.
The programme started with a silent prayer and it followed by speech and pledge competitions of LP and UP students. The national pledge made by the children incites patriotism in the minds of every Indian and the speech reminds us of our great freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to free our motherland from British rule. Later, a skit was performed by the students of Department of English and Theatre Club of the college emphasizing the theme of unity. The winners of the competition were awarded with trophy and certificate by Sri . Cyril chacko, Head Mater, Govt. UPS Nangiarkulangara; smt. Soumya. V. S, Head of the Department of English; Smt. Athira. M. Raj, Smt. Sangeetha Hariharan, smt. Sarsha. T. S and smt. Remya. V. R, Assistant Professors of Department of English.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Raja lakshmi teacher of Govt. U. P. S. Nangiarkulangara.
