BIO-CLICKS- REPORT
The final year students (2018-2021 batch) of the Department of Zoology, at the time of lockdown, has assessed their backyard biodiversity at their home and made a documented album named “BIO-CLICKS” and submitted to the department. In that album they have categorized the organisms based on their taxonomy and took beautiful images. All the students participated in this endovour.
Anti drug quiz competition

As part of Vimukthi Project, -& College Nerkuttam at the agies of National Service Scheme, an anti substance awareness quiz programme was conducted at NSS HSS karuvacha by five volunteers. The anti-drug campaign was called of by by Kerala Government from 2nd October to 1st November. 50 students participated in the competition held at NSS HSS Karuvatta.
The Head mistress Smt. Rema Devi, teachers and students of Karuvata NSS High School extended whole hearted support to the team. Kumari Vrinda Vishwanath of (10 B) and Abhiram of (9A) were selected to the first position. 50 students participated in the first round of competition.

Palliative day
15/1/2022 -palliative day
NSS unit no 39 A& B observed palliative day. Our Palliative initiative - Snehagadha programme was located in Pathiyoor panchayat on this day. The Snehagadha team volunteer leaders Charukes K Priyesh and Devi Krisha along with other volunteers and Programme officer Preetha MV visited 8 houses of badly sick and impoverished. We provided food kits and diapers to them. Volunteers empathized with their problems. Palliative Sr. Smt. Ampal Asha worker Smt. Retnamma helped in identifying the patients. and gave all kinds of guidelines.

Winners: anti drug poster making competition
In connection with ‘Nerkkoottam’ (anti drug campaign), an initiative of Govt of Kerala , Reading Club and College General Library conducted a live poster making competition entitled ' Classic vignettes of Drug Life in Kerala' on 17th October 2022 at 10am at college library.
Students from various departments participated in the competition. Rahul T from I year BSc IC bagged the first prize. Devanandini Seema Hari and Pravanya P from first year B Sc IC shared the second prize. Sreelakshmi M and Sneha J from I BSc Zoology shared the third prize. Gopikakrishnan from I BSc Zoology and Lekshmichandran from I BSc Maths got the special appreciation for their participation.
The competition encouraged the students to explore their creativity and innovative ideas to resolve the particular social issues like drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Nerkkoottam
public awareness rally, flash mob and manushya changala organised by National Service Scheme volunteers under the banner of Nerkootom.
The rally was organized under the auspices of TK Madhava Memorial College' National Service Scheme Nerkootam to prevent the scourge of drug addiction. Rally was flagged of by the College Principal Dr. P P Sharmila . Haripad Block Panchayat Welfare Standing Committee Chairman Mr. George Varghese inaugurated the anti-drug awareness programme organized at Haripad Hospital Junction. Haripad Municipal Health Standing Committee Chairman Mr.Sreevivek, Haripad S. I. Savya Saji, S.I Girish and other dignitaries spoke over the function, the volunteers, formed manushya changala in which the former teacher and Head of Zoology Department, Professor P. Sree mon , Janmaitri Police Officers Shihab Isak, ACCOK State Secretary Mr. Abhi Haripad, District President Mr. Ravindran Pillai, Vice President Mrs. Latika Nair, ACCOK constituency secretary Sundaram Prabhakaran, college physical education teacher Navya, Harita Karmasena workers, auto taxi workers, shopkeepers of Haripad area and many local people joined Hands vidhi with the volunteers in the formation of manushya changala. There after the National Service Scheme volunteers performed flash mob . College National Service Scheme Programm e Officer Smt. M V Preetha co-ordinated the event.
