As a part of Reading Day, a malayalam poetry recitation competition was organized today under the auspices of Tulika Spandanam, a group organized by the Department Of Mathematics, TKMM College.

Head of Mathematics Department  Mrs. Renjini S and Sinumol S, Assistant Professor in Mathematics evaluated the performance of the students and announced the winners.
Four students won prizes in Recitation competition .

TK Madhava Memorial College Department Of Mathematics conducted a poster making competition as part of the *"തൂലികാ സ്പന്ദനം"* student body in association with Reading Day.

At 3 pm, all the students who had participated in the competition completed the pictures and handed over to the coordinators.

The best posters were selected under the supervision of selected teachers.

International day against drug abuse

Anti-Drug Day 

The NSS unit of the college organized various events with the aim of creating awareness among the children and adolescents about the dangers of drugs. Thrissur Division, Women Civil Excise Officer, Smt. Sati. K. K. interacted with the children. They discussed how to enable the next generation to prevent drug use and illicit traficking. The Unit  Launched a "Karuthal helpline" to extend help for the students , their relatives, and the other  needy ones with  expert  medical and psychological interventions to rehabilitate those who have lost their lives through the use of alcohol and other intoxicants.

This year's theme of the event was "Sharing Facts About Drugs to Save Lives". The event was  organized in  online mode . Students took pledge against drug abuse and conducted different competions like Placard and poster making, Short films etc.
Program Officer Smt. Preetha. M. V welcomed the gathering and the NSS Volunteer Leader N. Nihal Muhammad  expressed the words of  gratitude. Volunteers Viz.Charukesh. K. Priyesh, Meenakshi, Reshma and Lakshmi MS shared their views on the topic.

It's been a long  time since we started honoring the death day of Sri .P.N. Panicker , founder of Kerala Library who worked tirelessly to open the door of knowledge to keralites as reading day. During this month in connection with reading week , Mathematics Department of TK Madhava Memorial College , Nangiarkulangara has decided to conduct an extensive activity called "Thoolika Spandanam" . 

The inaugural ceremony started at 2.30 pm on 24 th June   2021 and lasted till 3.10 pm. Amal Prakash, the presenter and event coordinator took over the control of the program. The program began with a prayer by III rd year BSC Mathematics student and coordinator Kumari.Gopika Suresh, .Kumari. Kavya V,  III rd year BSC Mathematics student and coordinator delivered welcome speech at the meeting which was chaired by Mrs .Renjini , Head of Mathematics Department . Dr.Vinod Haridas , the Principal of TK Madhava Memorial College officially inaugurated the meeting at 2.55 pm. Mrs.Sinumol ,Assistant Professor , Department of Mathematics and Dr. Preeth, Head of Department of Statistics spoke on the greatness of reading and offered felicitation .Amal Prakash officially informed the students about the upcoming events and its schedule. The meeting ended at 3.10 pm with Vote of Thanks released by Kumari. Bhagyasree .S ,I st year BSC Mathematics student and coordinator.
