NSS Unit organized blood donation camp

 The 'Rudhiram' blood donation camp was jointly organized by the National Service Scheme Unit of Nangiarkulangara TK Madhava Memorial College, Alappuzha TD Medical College Blood Bank and Kerala Blood Donors Forum.  Haripad Municipal Health Affairs Standing Committee Chairman Srivivek inaugurated the camp.  Principal Dr.  P.  P Sharmila presided the event.  State President of Blood Donation Committee M.  Muhammad Koya delivered the keynote speech.  N.  S.  S Program Officer Preetha.  M.  V, Blood Bank Medical Officer Dr. Riya, Councilor Jasmi Technicians, Asha, Sreeja and Abhirami spoke.  Head of Economics Department Dr.  SR Rajeev, Dr.  T.  Sreeja, Sheeja, Office Superintendent A Ashokan and many others participated in the event.

In  solidarity with the students,  Head of Statistics Department of the college Dr.  M.  Preeth also donated blood.  Students from Sree Narayana Guru College also participated in the camp.

 It is the first time after covid that a blood donation camp is being organized in the college.  During the pandemic  Volunteers came forward with the slogan 'Donate Before Vaccination' campaign and made every  arrangements to donate blood to the needy.  For this, 'Online Blood Donors Directory' was prepared. During lock down individual blood donation was arranged through hospitals.

 Programme Officer  MV Preetha, 'Rudhiram' Blood Donation Forum volunteer Leaders Charukes K Priyesh, Ajay J Chandran, Dheeraj Sanil, Pooja Prakash, Devi Krishna and Krishna Das put efforts  to make the event a success.

Best paper presentation

Athulya Soni 6 sem Zoology bagged 3rd prize for best paper presentation - students @ International Conference on frontiers of biosciences in sustainable development.

The conference was an international conference with 99 papers presented from across India. Athulya won the award in the category of UG & PG students.

NAAC Peer team, exit meet

Third cycle NAAC Peer team visit  scheduled on 14 and 15 February 2023 concluded.
