Harippad: NSS volunteers of TK Madhava Memorial College celebrated World Poetry Day, Forest Day. The events began by
commemorating the
Famous poet and lyricist, college alumnus Shri. Anil Panachooran.
College Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas inaugurated the ceremony and recited his poem showing the importance of tree planting.Volunteers talked about Kerala poetry and the influence of the same on various aspects of people's life,the thoughts that poetry gives to man.

Muhammad, Charukesh. K. Priyesh, Sajira Salim and Abhiram shared their views and Karthik, Haritha Haridas recited poems,which was followed by a poetry writing competition.
Tree saplings and medicinal plants were planted on the college premises in connection with the World Forest Day.
Water Day was celebrated by cleaning the water sources and taps in the college. In the upcoming days, it has been decided by the NSS team to conduct a water survey and test the water purity of the surrounding wells. National Service Scheme Program Officer and the History Department HoD
