NSS & NCC volunteers Celebrated 75th Independence Day- Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
Haripad: NSS & NCC volunteers of T. K. Madhava Memorial College Celebrated independence day with different programmes. Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas hoisted the flag at the college premises on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day. Subsequently, various programs were conducted under the leadership of NSS volunteers following the Covid protocol. Then a vow and a mass race was organized at Thrikkunnapuzha beach against social evils. Symbolic kite was flown with the coastal people on the theme of "Freedom regardless of caste, colour, religion and gender".
Sri. Sudhilal (Thrikkunnapuzha Block Panchayat Member) inaugurated the anti-dowry campaign. Sreekala (Ward Member), Suresh. N (AKD, President), College NSS Program Officer Smt. Preetha. M. V, Volunteers N. Nihal Muhammad, Charukes. K. Priyesh, Sibin, Mithuna, Regin, Kripa, Haritha, etc. spoke out against social evils. The anti-dowry pledge was taken under the leadership of the Program Officer.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, a local history writing, mobile documentary competition, patriotic song and speech competitions are being organized online.
