Nangiarkulangara T. K.M.M National Service Scheme Volunteers organized various events under the banner "Pachappu".
Undaunted by the incessant rains and the covid crisis, the unit members turned into groups and held various events . With the aim of restoring the environment, the children planted vegetables, flowers and saplings in their homes. The children did not forget to spread the message of their greenery to the neighbors as well. The children shared the joy of the Environment Day celebrations by giving each tree saplings to the next house and conducted competitions such as videography, environmental awareness quiz and video making, poster writing etc. A review meeting of the events will be held at 6:30 p.m. Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas , NSS Program Officers Preetha M V and Akhil B S, along with volunteer leaders N Nihal Muhammad & Ayana Co-ordinated the program.
June 5 World Environment Day Celebration Review meeting was held at 7. pm
Haripad: TK Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara NSS Unit conducted a review meet of ( 39A & B ) the World Environment Day celebrations.
As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, several tree saplings were planted and donated to nearby houses. It is gratifying to note that most of the NSS students participated in this event under the banner of 'Pachappu' amidst this covid pandemic.
At the end of the program, a review meeting was held in the evening and was chaired by the Hon'ble Principal Vinod Haridas, History dept. Head and NSS po MV Preetha welcomed the gathering. The meeting was call to order by NSS Volunteer Leaders N Nihal Mohammad and S Ayana. The group leaders reviewed the programme in great detail.
S Sruthy- (Karma), Deepak _ (Wings of Fire), Charukes K Priyesh - (Teens for Truth), Nijith -(Nila) and Sona -(Nilav) spoke on behalf of each group.
