വായനദിനം

Nangiarkulangara:

T. K.Madhava Memorial College, Under the auspices of the National Service Scheme celebrated "വായനാദിനം" with a continous  reading programs under the banner 'കചടതപ'.

Prof. Savitri Laxmanan ( Ex MP) &  Retired Malayalam professor of  st. JosephIrinjalakuda  inaugurated the day's celebrations. Her inauguraral address was really motivating & excellently conveyed the poetic beauty of the Malayalam language. 

 Harikumar Changampuzha, Asst. Professor of School of Letters, MG University, Kottayam  gave an informative lecture on the topic  "Reading and Modern Kerala Society".

He inspired the volunteers for serious reading.

College Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas presided over the function. Smt. Lekha K. V, Associate professor and  HoD, (Malayalam dept.), Dr. Rajeev S.R (HoD of Economics, dept.), Dr. Arun S. Prasad HoD of Physics & (IQAC Convenor), S. Soumya ( Ho D) and T.S. Sarsha (English dept.) felicitated the event. 

Volunteerട took an oath to promote the Reading  to enhance their civic sense. 

 Vol. Athira Mohan shared her reading experiences.(ഞാനും എൻ്റെ വായനശാലയും) 

Sajira Salim reviewed M. Mukundan's book " മയ്യഴിയുടെ തീരത്ത് " and Charukes. K. Priyesh also shared his reading experiences on   Robert.T. Kiyosaki 's  "Rich Dad, Poor Dad."

M. V Preetha, NSS PO & HoD(History) Welcomed, & Akhil. B. S, NSS PO &Aടst.prof. (Commerce ) delivered vote of thanks. NSS vol. Leaderട  N . Nihal Muhammad, S. Ayana, the team volunteer Leaders  also worked hard for the grand success of the event.
