Deshabhimani T. K. Madhavan's 136th birthday Celebration
Haripad: NSS Unit 39A& B of
TK Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara celebrated the 136th birth anniversary of Deshabhimani TK Madhavan.
The aim of the program was to pass on TK Madhavan's history to the new generation. Webinar well conveyed the revolutionary activities to eradicate the social evils from the society and to eà´Ÿ tablish the sense of civic equality, especially the Vaikom temple entry struggle.
The Programme stared with the flower offering at the College Campus in the morning.
The Online programmes began with the NSS Song by
Volunteer Meenakshi The function was presided over by the Principal Dr. Vinod Haridas and inaugurated by the College RDC President Shri Salikumar. Mr. S Jayaram delivered the keynote address and Mr. P Sreemon, Head, Department of Zoology felicitated the programme. M. V. Preetha, NSS Program Officer and History dept. Ho D welcomed the audience and Volunteer Charukes K Priyesh thanked the gathering. NSS unit also conducted
Mobile documentary and portrait competitions for the students based on the history of TK Madhavan.
