An online quiz competition was conducted using Quizzes platform on 16/09/2021 jointly by Department of Chemistry & Reading Club, T. K. M. M. College, Nangiarkulangara, on the occasion of World Ozone Day. World Ozone Day is observed on September 16 every year to spread awareness among people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and find possible solutions to preserve it. The primary aim of the quiz is to test the knowledge on the ozone layer, ozone depleting substances and synthetic greenhouse gases, thereby creating awareness among students about ozone layer, a fragile shield of gas, which protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the rays of the sun, and helping preserve life on the planet.
79 students actively participated in this quiz and they got the result immediately after finishing it.
First Prize: Ms. Adithya R.; S2 MSc Chemistry (Cash award of Rs. 1000/-)
Second Prize: Ms. Mekha K.; S5 Chemistry (Cash award of Rs. 500/-)
