LECTURE ON: NEW MEDIA AND POLITICS
The Department of English, TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara, Haripad, Alapuzha as a part of Darshan '22 Multidisciplinary Seminar Series, conducted a lecture on the topic “New media and Politics” on the 9th of January, 2023 at the Seminar Hall. The Morning session began at 10.30 in the morning with an invocation by Makaranth Maheswar V. S and Abhinav S of 1st BA English. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Arun Prasad, IQAC Coordinator & Head, P.G Department of Physics followed by Dr. Sharmila P.P, Principal, TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara delivering the presidential address. Thereafter Shri R Kiran Babu, Principal Correspondent News 18 Kerala, delivered the keynote address on the topic New Media and Politics. Mr. Kiran talked on the differences between old and new media and how new media has become an integral part in manipulating society and politics. Dr. Sheela. S coordinator of Women Cell and Head of Zoology Department gave the felicitation. Miss Amritha P of I BA English, concluded the session by by delivering the vote of thanks.
