The final year students of BA English Language and Literature of T K Madhava Memorial College Nangiarkulangara paid a visit to Kerala State Chalachithra Academy Trivandrum. The bus journey of 40 students and 6 teachers started the journey from Nangiarkulangara at 7.30am. As they reached the academy at 10.30 am, the staffs received the students and teacher whole heartedly and introduced them to the frames of achievements of Malayalam film industry. Later a state award winning movie 'Nishiddho', directed by Tara Ramanujan, starring Kani Kusruti and Tanmay Dhanania in the lead roles was screened for the group .The movie is the first of its kind to be produced by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation to support aspiring women filmmakers. An interactive session followed the screening of the movie and the academy officials deliberated on the functioning of the academy and the courses, fellowship and publications offered by them. Refreshments were served to the group followed by a photo session. The visit to the academy gave the students the opportunity to have a one to one interaction with the academy staffs and to understand the technicalities behind the making of the movies. The group thanked the staffs for giving them the opportunity and returned home with an enriched mind.
