Speech Celebration: A Skill Based Orientation Course in Communicative English

The second class of “Speech Celebration", the skill-based orientation course in communicative English for the first semester students in TKMM College Nangiarkulangara was  was on 23 February 2022. The three hour class spans from 10 am to 1 pm was given to the students of BSc Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Physics and B Com Travel and Tourism. It has been a joint venture of English Club (Communicative Skill Development Committee), Women Cell, Dept of English and Overseas English Institute. 

The inaugural function prior to the class was presided over by the College principal Dr PP Sharmila. She has talked on the difficulties normally faced by the students to tackle the speaking skill while dealing with English

We are pleased to announce that we have been conducting an orientation course on communicative English, "Speech Celebration", for the first semester students in our college, TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara. This is organized by the English Club( Communicative Skill Development Committee) 

in Association with Women Cell, Dept of English and Overseas English Institute. After doing the course  the students will be able to understand their problems in speaking English and can learn how to overcome them. The students may have a great lot of ideas in their mind, but while they try to express it ,they fail miserably.We can make the students speak confidently in English. 

This orientation programme will be handled by Mr. Rajesh Mohan, Director and Chief faculty of OVERSEAS ENGLISH ACADEMY. He is MA Litt, MA History and MPhil. He has been conducting this program for ten years successfully.
