World Cancer day observation 04/02/2022.
'Sparsam', an intiative by the NSS Unit of TKMMC, Nangiarkulangara to extend help to cancer fighters of impoverished family.
This trivial attempt took a start in connection with the world cancer day, last year. Volunteerട raised charity fund from their various Lock down activities. Sparsam is not merely helping financially but giving
emotional solace to the affected and their family.
Today volunteers along with NSS program officer Smt. MV Preetha and Dr. Sreejith Krishnan, assistant professor of Physics, along with volunteers visited cancer patients, and gave emotional support. The volunteers also donated colostomy bag, Leuko band, necessary provisions for food, dress materials and toiletries.
The NSS unit in collaboration with Haripad Karuthal kootayma initiated "Parasparam" a project, to help palliative and Cancer fighting persons . As part of this, the unit gave Charity boxes to volunteer leaders to raise fund for palliative activities. The volunteers expressed their willingness to donate a small amount of money on their special occasions like birthday and other celebrations. Principal Dr. P P Sharmila inaugurated Parasparam project by distributing charity boxes among volunteer leaders.
