Seven-days Annual Camp of national service scheme

Seven-days Annual Camp of national service scheme has started at Sree Narayana guru College of advanced studies Nangiarkulangara.The camp was held between 21st to 27th December. 
Principal Dr. PP Sharmila hoisted the flag at 9.30 with Manava Geetam in the presence of NAAC Coordinator Prof. Dr. Rajeev S. R, NAAC Convener Dr. Sreeja. T, HOD Associate Prof. Vinod Haridas, NCC Officer Lt. Seena. V,Department of Botany  Programme Officers Sanoop Sivaraman and  Preeta MV.   Then  the NSS volunteers and  the programme officers led the camp valambarajatha. Inaugural proceedin rgs started at 2.00 pm. The  function was presided over by the Principal. Shri.KM Raju (Chairman Haripad Municipality) inaugurated the camp Nervazhi. Shri. Vivek (Chairman of Health Stand Committee, Haripad Municipality) and greeted the NSS volunteers. He opened his mind about NSS and the greatness of NSS by sharing his own life experiences and gave awareness about the ever increasing drug use. Everyone shared their experiences, opinions, and volunteers pledged to offer their best for the camp.Volunteer Smt. Abhina B delivered vote of thanks.  Preeta MV gave brief description of the camp.

'കനിവ് ' is the Charity mission of Department of Mathematics.
As a part of this Department of Mathematics  conducted a cake sale in association with Swanthanam Charitable  Society to rise a fund for the treatment of cancer patient's. Dr. P. P Sharmila, the principal T. K. M. M College inaugurated the sale by buying a cake from Mr M. K Sreenivasan, Asst. Professor of Mathematics and the executive member of Swanthanam charitable Society on 20.12.2022 at Principal's chamber. All the teachers and many students of T. K. M. M College take part in this event. The sale continued  for the second day and the amount is handed over to the Swanthanam charitable Society.

നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും ": The best practice program of Department of Mathematics

"നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും "is a best practice program of Department of Mathematics.Once in every month students of Department of Mathematics bring a lunch packet from their home. These are collected and distributed for the needy in the society around the college. 
         
   As a part of this Department of Mathematics, TKMMC, conducted a lunch distribution to the people who need food at Nangiarkulangara on 21-12-2002 . Students of Department of Mathematics brought lunch packets and distributed at Nangiarkulangara.We gave 40 nos of pothichoru to the needy with the motive that that the eyes of the hungry should not be filled' and with a title "We are with you"/ "നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും-No Hunger Nangiarkulangara". Mrs Renjini, HOD, Dept. Of Mathematics , Mrs. Sinumol, Assistant professor, dept. Of Mathematics , Dr. Preeth M, HOD, Dept of statistics, Mr. M K Sreenivasan and Ms Sreya R Dept.of Mathematics , along with our students handed over the lunch to the needy.

QUIT DRUGS CHOOSE LIFE

Anti- drug Awareness Flashmob 
Department of English in association with Vimukthi Club and Dance and Theatre Club conducted a flash mob in connection with the anti-drug awareness campaign in Haripad town on 20th December 2022 at 11.30am. Fifteen students  from English department, Vimukthi Club and Dance and Theatre Club showcased a ten minute energetic performance in which anti- narcotic messages were conveyed through songs, dialogues, musical drama and placards. Mrs Soumya V S, Head of the department; Mrs Remya V R, coordinator Vimukti Club ; Mrs Athira M Raj, convener Dance and Theatre Club ;  Mrs Sangeetha Hariharan; M Hemant accompanied the students. The performance culminated with the team dancing to the theme song of Vimukti, the government’s flagship anti-narcotic campaign.

Dhanvantari medicinal garden work continues. Today 24 volunteers engaged in medicinal garden work. Volunteers brought different types of herbs from their houses and planted. The project helps the student to get familiar with  different natural herbs and their usages.
