The N. S. S volunteers of T. K. Madhava memorial college were actively participated in the events held at Haripad BRC autism centre in connection with the celebration of international day for persons with disabilities on November 3.
30 volunteers joined the vilambara jatha started from BRC at 10 am to raise public awareness to treat the disable in parity with us.
12 volunteers took the lead to manage rally and other events followed and gave all the necessary assistance. Various artistic programmes like flash mob were performed to entertain the differently abled children and their guardians. The official opening ceremony started at 11.30 am. Inauguration was performed by the honourable Haripad M. L. A Mr. Ramesh chennithala. Proud stars of Haripad M. L. A Mr. Abhijith. S and kumari Gauthami. C. S were honoured in the occassion. Students from various institutions like Haripad Govt. Boys school, Govt. Girls higher secondary school and Bathani baalikamath also graced the event. This the day celebration enabled the volunteers to understand persons with disabilities more and to support them and their parents.
