Debate on violence against women

The debate was organized as a part of Orange Ribbon Camp . 

NSS Volunteers of TK Madhava Memorial College and ICDS  organized a debate on ''violence against women and women's safety". It is a topic that has been discussed by the world since time immemorial but violence and unwanted incidents against women are increasing day by day.

College Principal Dr PP Sharmila presided over the function.
About 70 NSS Volunteers participated in the event. ICDS Supervisors Smt. Ashwathi V. P, Mrs. Elsy Solomon, Mrs. Lata K. P, Mrs. Shiji Mol.D, Mrs. Jini J, Mrs. Anuja, School Counselors Mrs. Dhanya, Mrs. Neetu Martin and Mrs. Rajani participated in the Programme. Ms. Preeta MV, NSS Program Officer Preetha MV welcomed the gathering and led the programme.

Volunteer SR Yadav, Rajalakshmi B, Adarsh Ashokan, Rabi Nawaz, Aditya, etc.  actively  shared their views.
   The discussion progressed through many current events. Inadequacy of sex education, problems faced by women in public space, and in transportation, challenges faced by teenagers  etc were discussed.

The discussion concluded with a pledge to  recognise and treats women as an individual all rights.
